Description
"The Troxy" is an Art Deco establishment on Commercial Street in Stepney, London that attracts not only with its music but also with its unique history. Opened in 1933 as a movie theater, the Troxy was able to maintain its importance and atmosphere even after closing in 1960. Subsequently, the building became part of the London Opera Center, used for educational purposes. Already in the 1980s, the Troxy underwent changes, becoming a bingo hall. However, in 2006, its appearance and functionality was completely revamped to make it a venue for live events. During its long history, the Troxy has become an important part of East London's cultural heritage, so much so that it was Grade II listed in 1990. Today, the Troxy can accommodate up to 3,100 people, creating the perfect setting for visitors who appreciate live music and the authentic atmosphere of old London. All this makes the Troxy one of the most attractive venues for concerts and other events in the UK capital.
